The HarMac Event Space resides in the historic Harper & McIntire building in downtown Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Completed in 1922, the building was originally a warehouse and shipping facility for Harper & McIntire's industrial hardware.
The company also procured their own line of hand-crafted tools, coined "HarMac" - thus, our shared name.
In 2015, the property was purchased and restored to reflect its original industrial character and charm.
In 2020, the second floor of the building was repurposed into a venue, by Travis Newell. No stranger to the event industry, Mr. Newell is also the owner of Unique Events, a respected event design and entertainment business.
Highlights of the event space include the building's exposed brick walls, natural light, original metalwork, and stately pillars. The HarMac has been meticulously designed to showcase it's industrial roots and stunning proportions.
The flexibility of this distinctive venue allows guests to enjoy it year-round, for many different uses, including weddings, private events, corporate functions, and more.

We believe that your occasion deserves to be celebrated, which is why we offer a variety of your favorite drinks and beers, including our hand-crafted cocktails and custom-made ice.
We offer a heightened bar experience with experienced, friendly bartenders, custom curated cocktails that you will love to look at almost as much as you love to drink, and drinks served in glass, not plastic.
The HarMac is the perfect setting to sip a libation or catch up on conversations with beloved friends and family.

The HarMac is rooted in industrial charm, but offers you and your guests several modern amenities.
Two adjoining spaces – 2,900 and 6,600 square feet, respectively – allow endless flexibility and combine to create a show stopping venue and performance space.
From corporate gatherings, social activities and live music, to weddings, showers and rehearsals - we can accommodate guest counts ranging from 40 to 400.
Introductory price ranges from $3,500 to $7,000 for venue rental (based upon date and availability).

The Bridal suite had plenty of space for all of the girls to get hair and makeup done for the day. The groom suite also had so much room and was a great place for the guys to hangout.
